I know what binge eating is but how much would a person have to eat for it to be considered a binge? Im so confused because somedays I still find myself restricting to 660 calories or less and other days its like Im eating everything in sight and dont even care. There no "normal days" so my views on eating are very messed up. Im either eating almost nothing or eating tons. I really feel guilty and mad at myself after "binge eating". I just feel so gross and bloated like Ive posted about here eariler. It might also be ED thats telling me that Ive binged when its really just a normal amont of food so Im not sure if its even considered a binge.
there's 2 different kinds of binging. Objective and Subjective. An objective binge is when you eat a ton of food at once. i.e. a few bowls of cereal, candy bars, etc. Just more than any person would eat in one setting. A subjective binge can be eating something like a bowl of cereal or maybe some toast, and you feel out of control by eating that.
It's basically characterized as feeling out of control while eating.
i think the only person who can really help you with this is a therapist. are you seeing one? you're obviously having troubles with your eating habits and no definition from us is gonna be able to help you determine whether or not you're binging, restricting, eating "normally," etc. this is something you can and should work out in therapy.
