Thanks a lot for your nice message of support. My p-doc, therapist, psych-nurse, and G.P. all know about my laxative use. None of them seem concerned so I am not really worried about it. I have heard of other people that take fifty or more. I don't think I have ever taken more than ten in one day. Maybe I'm trying to convince myself I have nothing to worry about.

Gail: You're welcome. There is so much in life which we cannot understand. Glad you are getting help though. Sorry I didn't answer before but was away until now. The docs may be observing your behavior rather than reacting to it (like monitoring). Sometimes reactions can increase use or make the person hide the truth......they may prefer to have you tell them the truth rather than hide it so they can more fully monitor your health and any side effects of your behaviors.
