That is very good that you are planning to tell your parents. Just remember, the sooner that you tell the sooner that it will be over and you won't have to stress about it. Also, the sooner that things will change and your life can get better. If it's really hard try writing a letter to them, that way you don't have to face them and see their feelings until they know all the facts (and you give them time to think).
As for all the ads, I totally agree with you. I hate seeing those on tv and stuff. They are triggers for me so I usually change the channel until it's over. As for the computor, it knows what sites you've been to lately and brings up ads that are in that general topic. So if you've been going to health or fitness sites, you'll get more weight loss ads where as if you've been going to book sites, you'll get more book ads. It's really hard to avoid them all together, though. Just try to remind yourself that those products don't actually work. If you read the label on most of the pills and such it actually says 'this product must be combined with a low calorie diet and regular exercise.' Well, duh! If you're doing that why take a pill? As for the others, they might work some, but not long term and then you will only feel even worse about yourself when you stop and gain weight. Plus, many are dangerous. Aren't you glad you never tried PhenFen?
