Exclamation ahhh!

a very bad thing happened today. I decided to stop eating again for awhile cuz I gotta lose some weight. So today I didn't eat anything all day and when I had advanced fitness, I passed out during step excersizes. I landed right on the floor and next thing I know, everyone's around me. My teacher asked me if I knew why it happened and I said no but eventually ended up telling her. She was nice abt it and knew a lot, considering she teaches us health, but she said she doesn't know if she could have me in her class if I'm like this. Which sux cuz I LOVE the class, it's part fitness and part learning abt health and nutrition. But she said she has to think about it. So I guess I'll find out. And, I went to my therapist today, and she saw right thru me that I wasn't eating. So she told me if I don't shape up I'm not gonna get to go to Israel next year. I don't want to stop tho!!! How do I lose weight without anyone knowing?????
Anyone care to share?
And how are all you guys?? Tell me stuff, luv u all,
Rachel

First of all, I have no idea how tall you are and how much you weigh, so I don't know if you really do need to lose weight. You may need to increase your self esteem more than decrease your weight.

If you really do need to lose some weight the right way to do it is to eat just a few less calories than normal. Try to eat between 1400 and 1600 calories a day. This will keep your metabolism high and keep you from losing muscle so that as soon as you get to the weight you like, you can go back up to about 2000 calories without gaining weight.

If you eat too few calories your metabolism will slow and you will eventually stop losing weight even though you're eating practically nothing. Then, when you try to increase your cals at all, you will gain a little bit of weight at first while your metabolism learns to speed back up. So the best way is to just never eat so little that it ever slows down.

If you eat 1400-1600 cals a day and then exercise for 20-30 minutes (like the step aerobics in gym) then you will be at about an 800 calorie deficit each day, which will be a little over 1 and 1/2 pounds a week fat loss. Try it for like 2 weeks and see how it goes. What do you have to lose by just giving a moderate diet a chance?

I agree with Cloudy. Something else to remember... It's obvious how much you want to go to Israel, and it's also obvious how much you want to lose weight. So which would you rather have? That's basically what it's coming down to. Don't let the ED take your trip to Israel away from you. You may never get the chance to go there again. Let that trip be your goal, and don't lose sight of it. You'll make it. You can and will beat this ED. You're doing great!

thanks for the encouragment guys, i really appreciate it. Today I ate a little better which is good, but I was more depressed. I still might be able to go to Israle tho. That's good too. Lately I've been desperate for affection from anyone. I'm a very affectionate person and I always need to hug people and lately I feel like I haven't felt affection in awhile. It feels kinda lonel. And also, I've been dying to hug or touch my boyfriend, but in Judaism it's forbidden to touch a boy not related to you until you are married, and then you can touch you husband. So as much as me and my boyfriend want to hug each other, we can't even do that. I need affection so bad, I feel so lonely. You guys are as awesome as ever it's just that I can't hug any of you.
anyway, sorry to babble. thanks for the support again.
luv and luck,
Rachel
