Post Today

I am nervous today that I already took in too many calories. I walked last night really fast 6 miles and then went to the gym for some more exercise

Today I must be hungrier than usual. I woke up after my shower had a protein shake (7:30am). Came to work and what left in the bag of these rice cakes by genisoy (soy protein is good for you) they are mini and a serving size is 2gs of Fat (UGH FAT) about 25 mini cakes (11:30am), I ate about that.

Now I am eating a high fiber granola/berry cereal with skim milk - small bowl.

Is that way too much. I am so afraid to gain weight

Thumbs up

Don't beat yourself up about eating. It doesn't sound like you've eaten much at all today, especially since you excercised so much last night. When you're excercising so much your body needs more food and you'll have a bigger appetite. It's normal and healthy to feed your body when it's hungry. Just try to stick to those times...when your hungry. And listen to your body. You're body won't let you get fat, it doesn't want to be fat. Relax, and know that you're doing good by eating when you're hungry.
I know how you feel though. Whenever I eat what seems like a lot I feel bad about myself and think I'm gaining weight on the spot. But obviously I'm not. It's something we have engrained in us...that eating is bad and makes us fat. But the purpose of eating is to feed our bodies and nourish ourselves. It's a good thing, and we have to do it often (thank goodness . Just try to listen to your body and see what it needs when you're hungry. It knows if it needs a salad or if it needs a cookie. And don't feel bad about eating when you need to eat. It's perfectly healthy!
Good luck and relax...it sounds like you're doing great, and making good choices about what you eat.

Michelle

Thanks for replying to me. I almost feel lonely when I no one responds. I am nto one to repy to most posts since I am so helpless and scared I will say the worng thing although I don't know anyone personal I care about all of the people on the board.

I get all worked up over what I eat and you're right I eat and think I am instantly gaining weight when it's obvious it took years to get heavy and then it takes time to lose weight. I was once close to 160 at 5'4 now I am still 5'4 and 130, but I have a medium frame I would love to be the lowest weight in what is considered healthy for a female my height but my body won't allow for it. I have an atheletic build and everyone tells me I am thin but I don't believe them. I think they make me feel better.

I am on meds for depression and anxiety. I hope to recover ASAP and lead a normal life

Hi hon,

I agree, don't beat yourself up about eating. Think of it, as "i'm helping myself be healthy."

You did not eat bad foods, AT ALL. In fact, you were eating very very healthy. You did good, be proud of yourself. And give yourself a hug for me, you seem like you need one!

NEVER GIVE UP
~sarah~
