Constant stomach uneasiness...

Hello HealthBoards,

This is my first post here. I couldn't find another sub-forum that would relate to my question, and I don't mean to downplay the seriousness of other eating disorders posted here, because I'm anticipating this to be milder than most cases.

Often times, I won't be able to fall asleep at night because I have a constant feeling of uneasiness in my stomach. I'll lay there, and feel like I'm bloated/too full even though I hadn't eaten in 5-6 hours. Besides that I'm just not hungry at all in the morning, and I walk around with this feeling of uneasiness in my stomach. I always feel this weird feeling of being full yet being hungry. I've hypothesized that it comes from eating too much, as for some reason I believe I eat too fast and too much during dinner. For some reason I have anxiety about not eating enough because I don't to come back an hour or so after dinner and start snacking. I've tried eating way slower but I've found that I just leave the table still feeling hungry.

I've read somewhere that it could be from lactose intolerance, I'm only starting to feel the effects now, my mother told me she had the same case where lactose symptoms started appearing in her late teens/early twenties.

Any ideas?

Re: Constant stomach uneasiness...

You've got me stumped! Parts of it sound like it could be restrictive eating-"I always feel this weird feeling of being full yet being hungry.' For me, it was the opposite, I could not stand to feel full and the feeling of hungry was calming. Ed's are so weird and everybody is different. Feeling anxious around food is not a good sign, have you tried taking a eating disorder self assessment on the internet?

Maybe, it could give you more insight? You should also try posting on the Digestive forum section on this site. Maybe, it could be a digestive issue. Good luck!!
