In a post to xx I believe you correctly identified the problem as emotional. So, to "nip this in the bud", I would suggest you try to identify how your emotional state has changed. What happened two weeks ago to trigger your recent behavior of binging and purging?
Have you ever tried meditation? There's a good book on this subject: "The Relaxation Response" by Herbert Benson.
In another book, I read that doctors can tell, with a brain scan, who's a beginner at meditating and who has had years of experience. Meditating can actually change your brain. The title is: "Train Your Mind Change Your Brain" by Sharon Begley.
