Moderate alcohol consumption during recovery?
I'm sorry to post two threads at once, but as the questions are quite different, I figured it would be best to separate them for the sake of any others with a similar question.
I have been working on recovering from an eating disorder, and although I am at a healthy weight now, I am still dealing with amenorrhea and elevated cholesterol. I am also taking bio-identical estradiol/progesterone supplementation.
Is drinking a glass of red wine every day or so a bad idea when recovering from an eating disorder, even once at a healthy weight?
I was told that the livers of those recovering from eating disorders are already being taxed by recovery, and thus drinking even a moderate amount, such as a glass a day, should be avoided.
