Unhappy Why did i loose my appetite for "no reason"?

I have been normal until a week ago when I have no feel for food. It went past my dinner time and though I feel hungry I just have no appetite. I have to force myself to find food as I know not eating will be really bad for the body.

I had something similar when I was 16. I will feel hungry during lunch and after a bite I feel full. My favourite food doesn't appeal to me at all.

I'm not unhappy with my weight and I'm not skinny at all. Just normal with a little bit of fat. I'm not super active but i walk around regularly throughout the day. My stress level isn't high.

I thank you in advance for any help/replies.

I don't have much advice to give you, but I have similar feelings. I find that watching tv or otherwise occupying my mind while eating can help with this issue.

Re: Why did i loose my appetite for "no reason"?

Happened to see your post. I can only tell you that I have a friend who is in her 60's and she's had this happen to her throughout her entire life. She can't really explain it to me. The last time it happened it was the longest window of time, about 6 months. She needed to lose some weight so she didn't stress over it but when it went as long as it did and she was getting in danger of being underweight, she started eating a couple of bites of something every 2 hours. It's almost like she built a new habit. It's been about a year since this last phase ended and she's fine now. She has no idea why this happens and it's never been related to anything else in her life....no body image, no stress (more than normal) and no real desire to be "dieting". Not much help. But you're not alone.
