I have very low testostorone levels. I have seen a endo dr., had an mri (all looked ok), but my pituitary gland is pretty much shut down. I have done steroids and HGH, but months afterward and testing, nothing has come back. This dr. just pretty much told me I didnt have many options, except to take Testostorone. Is this my only option?

If your pituitary isn't working, you'll need more hormones than just testostorone. My pit. doesn't work due to a tumor and I replace thyroid, cortisol, estrogen, growth hormone, and take ddavp for diabetes insipidus. I'm not saying you would have to replace all these, but I would get more tests and maybe a new endo. Unless you're lucky enough to get pit. function back, then yes you'll have to have long term replacement.

yes if u dont have a craniophryangioma ur okay, there is hope when my tumor was removed i had no testostrone production and years later im now starting to produce some of my own. you will start off on a once a month 100mg shot in the butt, or patches that are applied daily. i perfer the shot becuz those patches hurt when they come off, really good adhesive lol. once u reach 18 talk to ur doc to up ur testostrone dos to 400mg a month that is what a normal adult male produces.
