Does anyone on the board suffer with hand tremors? I recently heard that's a symptom of thyroid problems. On my last physical I mentioned to my dr. that my hands were shaking frequently. He just brushed me off by saying I needed to cut down on coffee and get more rest. Well, I have done that and the hand tremors continue. Your opinion please.
It is one of the symptoms of HYPERthyroidism (although it could be coffee as well, I guess ). My endocrinologist checks my hands periodically! Hopefully you could have your doctor test your thyroid levels.

I can't help with the endocrine disorder part, sorry, but I can try to help with you getting your doctor to help you.
Doctors will brush you off unless you push the issue.
Tell him you took his advice and they are still occurring, and they are worrying you. Let him know that you want something done about it.
If you are on stimulant/ADD medications these can also cause hand tremors. But you didn't mention it so I'm going to assume you are not taking these.
I have them, too. I get them with or without caffeine. I am currently being tested for Pituitary issues other than a known Low T issue. It is scary and hard to type on my smart phone. Shouldn't shake like this at age 42...
Hi, When you have too much thryoid in your body, you will shake. But maybe this could be a side effect of some drug you are taking. My doctor brushed me off with "it's a familial thing". Are you going to an Endocrinologist!
