multinodular goitres 2rd surgery risks

I have a moderate size multinodular goitre, I was offered radioidine at high dose, which I have refused due to my paratid glands not producing adequatly.
The Endocriologists keeps telling me that 2rd surgery is risky because of lessions, but I flatly refuse radioidine as I will not risk any damage to my saliva glands, which impairs my quality of life because food sticks to my teeth it is a painful condition. The goitre is giving me swallowing problems and neck and shoulder pains and seems to upset my my digestive system. I see a surgeon who in a letter to my GP will give me a realistic discussion to the risks of 2rd time thyroid surgery.
Any comments Kathleen
