normal ultrasound, swollen thyroid
So I had a bunch of tests done b/c I have been gaining weight, feeling short of breath and tired, and every now and then I can feel the food going down on my right side, sticking a little. There is a strong family history of thyroid problems, my mother has hypothyroid and 2 aunts on my fathers side were diagnosed with thryoid cancer. The doctor did a chest x-ray, quick EKG, blood work, and thryoid ultrasound. All came back normal.
Question is, if everything is normal, how come when he pressed on my thyroid my right side felt different than my left, not only to him, but to me..I could feel the difference on my windpipe. Can I just have an enlarged thryoid and it's OK?.
