Cytomel and blood sugar spikes

I'm on 50 mcg of cytomel (I have T4 to T3 conversion issues). I'm also a borderline diabetic and take 1 Onglyza in the morning and I eat around 100-120 grm of carbs a day.

After starting cytomel I found it causes blood sugar spikes after eating (within 1hr it goes to 180(or 10.1 in Canada). Then it drops to 122 (6.8) in an hour, so when I measure my 2 hr post prandial it looks OK. However, before starting cytomel I didn't have these spikes - the highest after 1 hr would be 140.

Has anybody else experienced these wierd spikes while taking cytomel.

Thx in advance.
