| Cortisol tests - 24hr urine/blood/saliva/dexamethazone suppression?
Hi there! I am undergoing quite a bit of testing with my endocrinologist. I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditis. In the past I have had high androgen levels with no real explanation, however my hormone levels are all currently normal and have been for some time, with the exception of my thyroid.
My question is regarding cortisol and ACTH testing in regards to Cushing's or other adrenal or pituitary problems. My blood cortisol, ACTH, DHEAs, and prolactin all came back normal. I had a dexamethazone suppression test, and the cortisol and ACTH came back nicely suppressed for that. In the past I also was in range on a 4x day salivary cortisol test (I ordered this myself). However, my 24-hour urine cortisol was high. Not sky high, but out of range high. I just had this done and won't see my endo again until November. How worried should I be about this?
