Unhappy Thyroid Fluctuations

For the past 6 months I have been dealing with extreme brain fog. I am absolutley miserable. I have had every test possible to figure out what is going on. My TSH levels in April of 2011 was 1.03. It was rechecked in Sept of 2011 when I started with the brain fog..it was 1.9. In january it went to 2.49. My doctor started my on 25 mcg of levolthyroxin and my symptoms have eased a little. My questions is..Can an increase of tsh like this cause me to feel bad? Also my basophil count is almost 5 times what it should be.Any input would be greatly appreciated!!
