| Re: Pain management for Endometriosis, What's your experience?
Hi
I really had terrible pain from endo, in my lower back throughout the month not just at period time, and stomach aches. My endo pain has got a lot better recently. There are a few things that Ive been doing:
1 - Ive been seeing a chiropractor - I went to see him about my neck and he found that my spine was slightly out down in my lower back so he has been working on that.
2 - Ive been taking slippery elm (in capsules from health food shops). It really helps the digestive system, where a lot of endo pain comes from.
3 - I was told that eating a lot of red meat just clogs everything up, causing pain for women with endo. Im only eating red meat now maybe once a fortnight.
4 - Ive cut out wheat and dairy after finding that I was intolerant to it.
5 - Ive started taking EFA - a mix of essential fatty acids
6 - Ive also started taking agnus castus.
I started 1, 2, and 3 in Dec last year, the last 3 were only in the last two weeks, the pain has dramatically reduced.
Hope that all helps, I would definately suggest taking slippery elm even if you do none of the other stuff - take 2 capsules twice a day with a meal.
Cheers
Tess
