Endometriosis in the Rectum?

I have had a lot of pain when I go from a sitting to a standing position since Octoberish...now more discomfort/pain when I am sitting on something especially hard (church pew, chair)...The Xray was negative for broken tailbone (I haven't had any falls); CT Scan showed nothing in that area, yet found a mass on my liver...perhaps "the pain is a referred pain" but I have asked my MD (regular DO) about endo since the beginning, if the scar tissue can be built up and pressing on something there and she said "maybe" but made it sound like only a slight possibility. I also tested positive for blood in my stools (hemoccult) and upon subsequent tests, I still was positive.
To me, the endo is causing blood in my stools, and pain in my way lower butt area...such an embarrassing thing. Has anyone had surgery down there? I had a lap and scraping in 2003 and the endo was caked all over my pelvis, all over my left intestine. Any thoughts greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Endometriosis in the Rectum?

I have heard of endo in the rectum. I would type it into a search engine to find specialty websites for endo. You need to find any other cause however. Blood in your stool and spots on your liver should be evaluated immediately. It is dangerous for your or your doctor to assume that all new symptoms are related to endo.
