I'm 43 and have had ovarian cyst surgeries ec. I had my ovary taken out in 1995. When I had an ultrasound in 2006 they insisted I had the ovary and it was a normal size. I recently had another test in March 2008 and no ovary seen. They saw something that they called Adenoyomis. It looked like tissue. They said it was the muscle growing into the lining of the uterus. I had the Ovarian cancer test done and negative. My Dr. thinks it can be Endometrosis but I don't have the symptons. She said just pain is a sympton. I don't think any of them know what they are talking about. It scares me that someday they will say a tumor or something. But it did not get bigger then it was 2 years ago so they say don't worry. My Dr. wants the GYN to go in and take a look but she doesn't want to do that. Also over the past year my period has been every 2 or 3 months. Very irregular. Don't know if this helps. You can look up ADENOYOMIS and see if that sounds familiar.
