Wow wow wow wow. I never heard of it before, but it fits with my experiences too.
I read that it often affects the lower portion of the bowel, so your symptoms sound consistent. It sounds like it's worth investigating. I wonder if GYNs are more knowledgable about it than Gastro doctors. Especially GYN surgeons.
When I was in my 20's I was told that I probably had some endometriosis, which improved with each pregnancy. But now that I'm older, my IBS symptoms are worse during my periods. This last time was so painful it made me throw up.
I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. It sounds like it's unlikely to be seen with the colonscopy, since it an only see what's inside the colon, not pushing from the outside. But I'll ask about it.
