Adenomyosis and Endometriosis

Hello I am new to this site and I would love some input. I am 42 and I had surgery on April 29th 2010. I had cystectomy on my left ovary, ablation of endometriosis, bilateral tubal ligation, hysterectomy, NovaSure ablation, DNC, and a Transobturator Sling. I thought the problems would be fixed. How wrong I was!!! I started getting constant pain about a week after the surgery it is more painful now than before the surgery. I had no idea that I had endo until I woke up and the DR informed me of this. I have no more periods since the surgery, and I never had a normal cycle when I did have one. I never new when I was going to have my period and when I did get it (sometimes 2x a month) it was so painful it put me down for 2 days.

I had expressed my concerns about the pain the whole time of recovery. I was told that it could be a colon problem as well as endo. and I needed to have a colonoscopy and start Lupren shots. I was not convinced that it is endo because it is constant pain not only pelvic but pretty bad lower back pain as well, I am holding on the Lupren shots. I went back and asked for another ultrasound to see if they could see anything to explain this horrible constant pain. I scheduled a colonoscopy just to rule this area out. My colonoscopy came back just fine, and after my 2nd ultrasound my DR called and said it appears I have adenomyosis. The research I have done talks about the endo and the adeno being painful with your periods. I have no periods and I have no pain relief at all. This pain is 24/7 I was prescribed Ibuprofen 800mg and Percocet if I take both of them together I still have pain. I have a heating pad on my abdomen when I am home. My intimacy with my husband is so painful it is almost to the point of not happening. I have noticed in the last couple of days lower abdomen swelling and I am not sure if this is caused from the endo or the adeno. Is a hysterectomy going to help and if so, which procedure is the best one. I have a another DR apportionment this week with another DR for a 2nd opinion. I am a go-getter. I own a business and it makes it very difficult to run my company take care of my children and be a wife and do this while in constant pain. Has anyone experienced anything like this and if so what was your end result. Would love to know that this is just not my crazy body with an unheard of situation.

Thank you for any help or insight!!!! sty1
