Can it be Endo???
I am 30 years old and have children, not on birth control(natural family planning). I started noticing many small issues happening with my health that are adding up, that started around after the same time I had a c-section, so I just passed it off as that/scar tissue, age, well water, ect.
But its been 4 years now and the symptoms are getting more and more severe each month. First off the last few years I have bad cramps that start a couple days before my period, so I have never been caught off guard by starting. My periods have went from average/light and manageable and hardly any cramps, to really heavy bleeding and severe cramps, I have to change a super tampon at least every hour and they are soaked and blood spills out thats how bad it is.
I also have pain in my tailbone area, it feels like its broke. My periods were every 5 weeks on the dot all my life. Lately they have been about every 3 weeks. Then after my period is over, for about 10 days I have really bad pain in the area of my left ovary and uterus, so bad I cant touch my stomach and cant do anything and am really irritable and a light yellow milky discharge. I feel like a baby fluttering feeling in my belly (I have had a ultrasound and pelvic exam which showed nothing) For the last 4 years I have had really soft stools and diarrhea, before my stools were firm and very regular always. When I ovulate my ovaries hurt so badly.(which is why I was so successful at natural family planning) My gyno wants me to get on birth control pills as a experiment to see if the symptoms improve to see if it could be endo. I never really thought about it as a possibility till she mentioned it, then started searching symptoms and it explains all my issues I have been having for the last 4 years! I wanted birth control, a IUD and wanted no hormones (Paraguard) but after this development if birth control helps my symptoms my doc wants me to get Mirena instead. I was on norplant over 10 years ago and hardly had periods and what I did have was light, so maybe Mirena is the way to go if this is my problem? I hate the side effects and health risks of hormonal birth control, but I am so done with the ovulation pain and after period pains. I cannot remember to take a pill but will deal with it temporarily but want something to last longer. I am not sure if I am done having kids, but I have a 6 month old and want to wait a couple/few years to decide if I want another or not. So I want to preserve my fertility if I do have endo.
Also my last couple pregnancies were very miserable with what felt like ligaments tearing and so much pressure in my pelvic floor and sciatic pain, the pain in my belly/pelvic/tailbone area was so severe I pretty much laid down all the time and could not walk right even when I was not that big yet. Also I have always had what I consider more then average discharge no matter what time of the month it is ever since I started puberty, but no infections or anything ever. I also have weight gain but just attributed it to having kids/age but I do not overeat and do not eat junk food and eat very healthy and am very active so it always did not make any sense to me.
I am scared and sad that this could be my diagnosis, but also glad if I finally have answers or any relief from my symptoms.
