Red face I have this @ 44 and misrable.....help with options.........pls....

Hi All I need your help. I don't have full coverage health insurance and my OB want me to have a hystro. full blow and NO way, I want to keep my ovaries, However I have severe Endro, and Major PMS with mood swings. Two and 1/2 years ago I had three fibroids removed and think they are coming back. I get so sick that time of the month, seems like anymore I only have two good weeks out of the month........and this is NOT good for our marriage..............for it hurts with intercourse....... And I love my husband dearly and don't want to push him away.............please any options......B/C? Very low grade maybe?

I am looking for a decent BC instead of the surgery til I get back to full time work and will have a partial. I have heard more good on this one then bad........like the side effects............

My concerns like many of yours are:

Weight gain?
Acne?

All in all does it help you with your periods and the pain? Please help. I am at my last straw..............OR IF YOU DO KNOW of a good BC with low side effects please share.........I need all the help I can get.

God Bless.

This may help you, I'm on the birth control Cerazette and it generally wipes out your periods therefore helping with the pain. It has no estrogen so shouldn't make your endo worse (it's rumoured and generally believed that it does.) I hope you begin to feel better soon..

Well, I was overweight before I was put on it and I am not the most healthy eating girl in the world, but women can put weight on with any birth control so I presume it's the same with this one. This birth control is mainly given to people that are overweight or have high blood pressure from where I live (UK) I've had no problems at all on it though, no mood swings, acne, no noticeable weight gain I can blame on it, the only problem I have had is spotting which basically seems like my period, and that's all I get a month at most. There's lots of reviews on it though.
