| I'm really lost here. Help?
This might be sort of graphic, but I need some help. After the last time I went to the doctor, I don't have decent medical insurance. I won't take any of these as a diagnosis, I'm just looking for other experience/help. Here goes.
I'm 22 and I've been dealing with this stuff since I was 16. I started my period at 13 and it was incredibly heavy from the start. Talking to my family doctor at that age, he said it was fine and that everything would even itself out. I dealt with it until I was about 16, when I had some awful right side pain. It was exactly the same symptoms as appendicitis, but it wasn't rebound pain. Just regular pain. Either way, I ended up in the emergency room where they found a cyst on my right ovary, that ended up rupturing. From 16 on, I had problems with cysts, generally on my right side. It was usually just right side, dull pain, but somewhat unbearable. Usually it was roughly a week before my period. I just kind of dealt with it.
After the last few months, I'm kind of fed up. I started spotting and had weird pain. I went to the doctor and they did a pelvic exam. They didn't find really anything and there was no infection. He ordered an ultrasound. (This was the on-call doctor when I went into walk-in hours. The next appointment I mention was with my actual doctor.) The ultrasound only showed some follicular cysts, even though I was in some pretty immense pain. I had a follow up appointment with the doctor, and she mentioned endometriosis. She says from all of the symptoms, on top of them just getting worse and not better, it sounds like it. She wants me to have surgery to confirm it, but she 'highly suspects' it.
That brings me to this month. I started my period 6 days later than what it has been. (It's always been irregular..it's just usually no later than the 20th/21st.) About two weeks before I started, I was so bloated (my whole abdomen) that I hurt. After about two days, that went away. The day after it went away, I had a cyst that either ruptured or twisted to the point of taking me to my knees. After a few days, I was feeling better. I started my period and things were swell. It was super painful, as usual. But here's where the weird stuff starts. Yesterday, I was home most of the day. I work at a factory, so I'm off until after the new year. I was laying in bed, on the internet, and I started to feel kind of down. Like I was super tired suddenly and my hands and feet got clammy. I took my temperature and had a low grade (99) fever. For absolutely no reason. Those were my only symptoms. This also happened last month around Thanksgiving. Mystery fever, no symptoms. Just tired and clammy. I fell asleep for a little bit, woke up about an hour later and had an awful, awful pain in my right side. About the same as the pain I get before my period, but this was DURING my period. And it HURT. I took some Advil, laid there for a bit and after about an hour and a half, it was somewhat bearable. I finally fell asleep for the night and am okay today.
I'm frustrated with all of this. Does/has anyone else experienced this?
