I had my first surgery at 22 for a 6 cm cyst on my left ovary, they didn't take the ovary out. Four years later I had a 8 cm cyst on my right ovary and a 2 cm cyst on my left. I had again surgery and a year later I had to have again surgery for the cysts that reappeared on my right ovary. I wish they would have taken it out. I did lupron, it helped w the pain, but I after I stopped it it came back. I tried depo-provera, but I was bleeding very bad on it, so I stopped it. Now I'm trying BCP, hope it will help, because the pain is horrible.
I don't want to scare you, but you should ask your GYN for a treatment to slow the progression of the disease.
