Lightbulb Some things we need to know about MCS.

What I have come to learn is that generally those with chronic health conditions, weakened immune systems and possibly yeast-related symptoms can often develop sensitivities to the many chemicals and molds which surround us. These sensitivities can occur gradually over time and repeated exposure. Many times there are no obvious links to the chemical or mold contact, making the specific source of an sensitiviy &/or sensitivities difficult to uncover and find out what is causing it. Often when you develop one sensitivity, it can weaken your system enough to develop more sensitivities, further complicating things for us in finding out the source of your symptoms.

Some types of sensitivity are exposture to toxins or poison. Allergies to particular plants or products. Multiple chemical sensitivities where your own body's natural detoxification system becomes less able or unable to cope with chemicals &/or molds to which you are exposed. This can include almost anything in your environment. Symptoms can include headaches, foggy thinking, fatigue, dizziness, depression, muscle and joint aches, runny nose and eyes, sinus infections , respiratory or severe asthma symptoms, feeling ill all over &/or throwing up, burning sensation on body parts, the smelling of fumes or bad odour being expelled from your body, and quite often there are more than just these mentioned.

We all have exposure to some toxic chemicals but we can minimize them. It's important for not only those persons with weakened immune system but for healthy people as well. Usually we are unaware we’re becoming chemically sensitive until we are exposed to one time too many to where we finally are unable to tolerate what was once okay to be exposed to.

Looking into our daily environment and identifing if any of these most common chemical or mold exposures might be causing us health problems. Some things to realize that can be troublesome are automobile fumes, tobacco smoke, gas over an electric stove or heating unit. Perfumes and scented cosmetic products, cleaning products, air fresheners. Aerosol spray, fingernail polish, fumes from dry cleaning solvents, paint, paint removers, varnishes &/or glues. Plastics, vinyl, carpet, upholstery &/or curtains treated with chemicals. Newsprint, paper print, printing ink, fumes from copiers and office equipment. Pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers. Also any molds that could be found in schools, office buildings, homes, apartments along with any buildings sealed and the inability to open windows.

We should take the time to reduce our exposure at all times. Breathe outdoor air every day for it is often less contaminated than indoor air. Even when taking the dangers of air pollution into consideration. Remove any or all chemicals, chemical and bad products from your house. Use natural cleaners such as baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, or hydrogen peroxide for cleaning your home. Using unscented soaps and laundry detergents is the next best thing. Try using unscented cosmetics, deodorants, shampoo, body washes or soaps. Try not to dry clean items of clothing if you do remove them from the bags and air them out well. Try steaming them as well, if possible.

We can also help ourselves by detoxing ourselves. Such as taking saunas or standing in your shower with fan off, bathroom door closed and run just hot water for 5 - 15 minutes helps you to sweat and clear toxins from your body. Do often, specially after you showered and before getting out. Eating healthy, nutritious foods and using supplements helps your body to maintain it's naturally occurring detoxification system and keep your immune system strong. Eating garlic and onions can help your body's system to maintain healthy functioning as well.

If exposed to something harmful that's making you feel sick, mix together in an warm bath 2 cups of espom salts and an 450 ml bottle of peroxide. Soak your entire body for no more than 20 minutes and then go lay down afterwards. This can make you feel tired but it helps. Have done this many times for myself.

Have your doctor do testing and send you to the proper specialists as well.
