Fungus causing enlarged lymph nodes - Environmental Disorders Message Board

I have been cleaning out a house that I bought. In May I was in the basement cleaning who knows what. Things that have been around for at 50 years. Alot dirt and the basement was damp.
Now I have a very enlarged lymph node in my neck with alot of smaller ones. I am having a biospy done on 08/21 to see what it could be. Mainly checking for lymphoma. I feel fine except for the worry of the biopsy .
I was wondering has anybody has heard of this personally

I've been researching this forum, and I, too, believe mold has something to do with lymphoma---of course, other factors, too.
Right before my collarbone lymph node swelled, I cleaned our entire damp basement (took about 5 days)--cleaned 6 kitty litter boxes inside & out---then proceeded to get stressed out about going out of town. I believe, had it not been for the mold, perhaps maybe my lymphoma wouldn't have popped up, like it did. Maybe it's a good thing???

Or else...it could've moved through my system to a bigger organ.
Since my diagnosis, my husband got a "state-of-the-art" dehumidifier, and it's been going (literally) non-stop downstairs. I wish he would've done that earlier---I've got to stop these "what if's."
Someone said on your post that they thought lymphoma is caused by one's diet/environmental/& stress....I think, add to that: mold.

Anyway---I'm in agreement with you about mold. Those spores can play havoc with one's system. I've turned over the kitty litter cleaning to my husband. I can't part with my beloved kitties, though. I keep hand-cleaner sanitizer everywhere, because I know cats are associated with certain illnesses.

I am not aware of ANY illnesses associated with cats unless you're allergic!
Kitty LITTER, yes -- but even then, mostly a concern for pregnant women or people with HIV or immune system problems.

I'm sorry....
I meant "kitty litter" and the problems associated with it.
I know there's a "cat scratch fever," which I don't know very much about, and before my diagnosis, I thought maybe I had that, instead of Hodgkin's.

Don't mean to scare you but it could be chemicals or pesticides. They are nasty and don't really air out. You might consider asking the previous owners if they used pesticides and if any spilled in there.
But your body is telling you something is toxic when your glands swell like that. Don't let kids in there. it is very dangerous for their growing organs and health.
