| Airline Travel Allergic Reaction
My wife, 61, has never been allergic to anything. Now, after travel on Southwest Airlines, a significant rash on one ankle developed. It was warm to the touch. After about four days, end of Thanksgiving visit, it was improving. However, after air travel home, the other ankle was significantly affected and has now spread to the entire body. She had a fever for about four days, just under 100. A dermatologist NP gave her an injection, RX cream, etc--the standard stuff, which has helped. What's happening, what's the cause? We can only surmise that perhaps it's related to the foot mats we all have to walk on in our socks or barefoot. I've read some are anitmicrobial. I'm stumped...please help!
