anyone take glutathione

If so, does it keep you from being sensitive to everything? Thanks.

Re: anyone take glutathione

Sammi2, I have been using a Glutathione and Galavit nasal spray prescribed by an EI physician for over 2 months and I have not seen that I am less sensitive; however, I have spoken to another MCS sufferer that uses just the Glutathione nasal spray and she states that she has milder reactions when she is exposed. She does also use a nebulizer. I have also spoken with another patient of the same EI physician that I was seen by and she had to stop using the Glutathione and Galavit nasal spray as it was making her feel worse. As you probably are aware though what may work for one MCS sufferer may not work for another as well as the fact that what one MCS sufferer will react to may not affect another MCS sufferer so we are all in a Catch 22 situation.

Re: anyone take glutathione

Thanks hawk1. I would like to find something that helps but so far everything I've tried makes me worse.

Re: anyone take glutathione

Sammi2, The only proven treatment for chemical sensitivity is avoidance. In fact, it has been my experience that even with treatments from environmental illness specialists we are still told that we must still avoid exposures to all these triggers for chemical sensitivity, which is very discouraging. It is my belief that MCS sufferers spend much more money for medical treatment than anyone else because we are so desperate to find a supposed "cure" where we can return to and enjoy the freedoms that so many others take for granted. I wish you all the best and luck in finding a treatment that will work for you. There are many forums out there for people with chemical sensitivity that offer support and ideas for dealing with this condition.

Re: anyone take glutathione

TGSDWS:
From what I understand, glutathione is supposed to be naturally produced by the body; however, tests can show what your glutathione level is as to what it should be. Some people administer it as a nasal spray and some administer it through a nebulizer. Everybody is different and what may work for one person may not work for another. I have seen where glutathione has worked for some and has not for others. Myself, I have not really seen any difference after using the glutathione nasal spray but again everybody is different. You really should try to see an environmental illness specialist.
