looking for people with my symptoms and reactions

I react to : perfume - diesal fuel - cigarette smoke - candles - someone sawing (such as in the lumber aisle at lowes ) - smelly plugins - cleaning supplies - furniture polish - new carpet - etc.

I oddly don't react to - paint (i'm a professional painter ) - kilz - gasoline -

my reaction- here's what is really important to me. I need to find people who react like i do. I dont sneeze or get a runny nose. What I do- I immediatly get this *****ly feeling in my throat and then start uncontrollably coughing. And it is a mucus producing cough. This can go on and on. I used to have asthma and allergies so i know what that feels like and this is not the same. I've been doing this for about 10 years. i am currently on fluticasone sniffer and astelin sniffer and today i (reluctantly ) started singulair. when i start the coughing attack- it can be embarrassing and horrible. if i don't get it under control i can actually get sick. Since I am in a different homeowners home everyday-this can be really embarrassing. i don't want to go int deep detail until I find someone who matches my symptoms and reactions and then at that point i thought we could talk about ways to deal with it. btw. i'm 52 yr old female. thanks in advance!

It may not be the same symptoms as your allergies "of old", but that doesn't mean that you are not having an allergic reaction which is mostly effecting the mucus membranes of your throat.

Do you wear a mask while painting?

Are you able to open windows while painting?

I am very sensitive to many things, including paint. Just the slightest, tiniest, trace elements of allergens, especally cigarette smoke and volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) can cause all kinds of uncomfortable symptoms, such as a mucus buildup in my throat, irregular heartbeat, higher blood pressure, difficult breathing, malaise, fatigue, etc.
