hello everyone long time since i have been on here

and hi mom if u read this i have a few questions about my new med carbatrol i take it 2times a day and so far i have only seen one little sign of a side affect and that is that i have been kinda dissey but not so much any more but i was a little worried cuz im home alone and no one to help me really durring the day unless i all them and then it would take them like 30 min to get home but owell and this little part is for my mom if u read it sometime soon a couple nights ago i think that i had a seizure cuz i had a really really bad dream and i woke up and my mouth on the inside was all bitten up and i was really hot and damp so i dont no if i did or not but i for got to tell u that tonight when i talked to u it slipped my mind but i have to go now becvause its getting late out here and i have to go to bed now sorry its been so long since i have been on here so l8r peace

Hey sweetie,

Sorry to hear you may have had another one. Do you remember any detail from your *dream*? That may help you/us figure it out a bit better. How many days into your new med are you, how are you sleeping, eating, female cycle dates - all that has to be factored into this.

Journal all the detail you can recall!!! Did you tell your dad?

I'll talk to you about it in more detail this weekend Honey...

Hi Jenny!

I'm Katie's mom! Nice to meet you! Katie was on Carbatrol a few years ago, but it didn't work too well for her. She wasn't on it long enough for me to remember if she had any side effects at all.

Like your mom said, just write stuff down so you can talk to the doctor about it if you need to.

Katie is doing really well after her surgery and I should have HER post here too, sometime soon. She's been reading the posts from everyone, including the support your mom has given us. We appreciate it very much!

Hang in there, your mom said you're a super young lady and I'm sure she misses you lots...maybe you and Katie can chat sometime...here of course.

thanks for the reply when my mom told me that katie was going into surgury i just want u to no that i was praying alot cuz i would flip out i told my mom no way no way im not gona go into sugury i dont care but katie is strong i am to but not as strong as she is the only thing that i was strong about was when i couldent get my learers permit that i was ok with but i do wish for katie and me to chat sometime on here of course so yeah that would b cool sometime and well its ok if u cant remember its just that i have an algery to a cat that i have and were trying to find an algery med to help me that wont enterfere with my carbotrole sry i dont have the correct spelling with me but o well and mom if u read this i love u bunches k bye jenny

Hi Jenny

This is Bonnie's mom. Bonnie took carbatrol from 7 or 8 years old til last year when she turned 13. She had the least amount of side effects from carbatrol. They changed her to another med when her seizure activity changed and carbatrol didn't control it anymore. She never really complained about anything it may have slowed her down a little, made her a little dizzy.
