CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!

I would also contact the ER and tell them what you think he may have and what you should do. You need to have this looked at. It can mimic chicken pox, measles, etc. Don't bother wasting time with a Dermatologist, contact your doctor or the ER. Also watch for a fever.

Please read response to your question regarding Lamictal rash.

Thanks for your information and replies. When the Neuro on call called me back last night, she told me to take Jake into his Pedi office this morning for and emergency visit and not to give him his morning dose of Lamictal. She didn’t seem to be near as alarmed as I was. So… I took him in this morning and they said it wasn’t the SJ Rash. His rash is just bumps and not hives or red and no blisters on his body. His throat was already much better when we got there. He said his rash doesn’t itch and his throat doesn’t hurt. I am puzzled!!! We are watching him like a hawk. The poor kid can’t even roll over in his sleep without us freaking out.

Thanks again, and I guess we’re sticking with the Lamictal for now.

Hi Wendy,

I know you are keeping a close eye on Jake...but please read the info online re:Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. I believe I read the symptoms can come and go before they worsen. I don't mean to alarm you. Many doctors have also incorrectly diagnosed ***, according to things I have read online.

Did they tell you what they thought of Jake's throat? What it may have been from? Why it did that?

I researched Lamictal and *** closely before Katie started on it back in October 2003. She is currently at 400mg per day.
