Ive been on the generic tegretol. Tegretol. Tegretol XR. Topomax.
Since 95' I started having the seizures. I started on the Tegretol. Then the XR came out. I went on it. Then last Aug. I switched to Topomax to help lose weight. And Im also on Tegretol XR.
I take 400mg of topamax daily. I was first put on depakote and I gained alot of weight and my doc put me on topamamx to get the weight off too. Now I can't gain weight which is ok with me. BUt my hair comes out very easily. I also was diagnosed in 95.

If you take multivitamins and B-complex and B-12 will help you with the Topomax.
Topomax robs your body of nutrients.
I have to use Nioxin products. You have to buy at a beauty store. Like shampoo and conditior for my hair. Its helpted my hair to get thicker and stronger.
Its not cheap I admit. But it is worth it.
I take 200mg of Topomax and 800mg of Tegretol XR
