| Re: WADA test
Hi Diana,
Have they given you any info on how they feel about the results?
You could remember words when the left was asleep but not objects? Didn't you have to speak the object they showed you? I guess I don't follow.
Katie did well in the "pre-test" at the pre-op appt. In the WADA test when her left side was asleep she had 7 of 10 objects and was able to read the screen (sentences) without trouble. When her right side was asleep she had 6 of 10 objects (could speak them, with delay) but could not read the screen correctly. She would mess up the order of the words and not pronounce some of them correctly. (ie> "the rabbit jumped over the fence")
What this showed for Katie is that she had bilateral memory, stronger on the right side (by one object, they normally like to see a bigger differential) and her speech and language was on the right side as well.
So this gives you an idea. Give me a little more detail, if you can.
Thanks and Katie said it was really weird too...especially since you are awake and totally concious for it.
Vicki
