I'm very anxious, all the time
Unless I'm at home with no one visiting and I have no stress, then I'm fine. Epilepsy does aggravate it because I worry too about having seizures in class (one reason I skipped college, high school was torture enough for me with epilepsy) having a seizure on public transportation.
Make a buddy system, if you're feeling you're going to have one..ask your buddy to come to the hall with you. I did this countless times. One thing will make a huge difference, tell your teachers in the strictest confidence about your epilepsy. They shouldn't tell other students and they will understand if you get an attack. I had a codeword with one of my teachers, I said I needed to go blow my nose and she understood I went to the hall and seizured
lol I avoided alot of embarassment that way.
As for coming over the anxiety, just know you aren't alone and tons of epileptics have this problem! Try not to give into the "i'm safe at home" feeling because once you give into the anxiety it is darn hard to get over. It's taken me 2 years to be able to even try to get out of the house alot more. Therapy sessions might help you along the path to overcoming it.
