Has anyone been told that during a seizure they feel "cold as a stone " ?
Apparently had a petite mal last night, and my boyfriend who watched over me said I got cold as a stone. He said this happened before when I had a PM.
I was "out" for 2 hours. When I came out of the seizure, I warmed up again.
Ofcourse, he covered me, but he said, I was still very very cold.
Should he send me to the hospital when this happens ?
What does everyone think
Pam, I would call the neuro and ask him. I have heard of others having response from the autonomic system (the things the brain controls like temp) and either over heating or getting cold...
Most Petit Mal you would recover from right away, though and not after 2 hours. I wonder if it was another type of seizure?

Mike (boyfriend) said, my eyes fluttered like crazy and he kept talking to me then I was gone..... He couldnt wake me at all
I had one PM while in the hospital a few months ago, which was simular. A nurse said it was a PM, but now I am wondering.
I am seeing my doc on the 23rd so I will tell him. I guess what worried Mike so much is that I was cold like "death" he said. But, what you said certainly makes sence to me.
Today, I felt like I had no sleep last night, but I know I slept.
And that hung over feeling.
Just when I thought this new combo was working....bingo.
But that is typical of the last 10 years of my life.

sometimes my face gets beet red right before a seizure
I have TLE. Complex partial, simple partial...absence, drop. nice little combo....lol
