Hi

I am just wondering if anybody can answer this question, Can seizure’s affect LFT (Liver Function Test) results, I understand that seizure can affect things like white cell count, I’ve only ever had two seizures (complex partial) in a space of 2 years, I am ok now and not on any medication, all tests came back normal, CT Scan, EEG.

I was just wondering if it was normal to have changes in Liver Function after each seizure?

I have had 3 LFT’s taken 2 where had straight after a seizure and the other one was done in between seizures, all 3 LFT results had elevated level beyond normal ranges of TBILT- Total Bilirubin, TP- Total Protein, ALB- Albumin.

Any ideas.

Your doctor didn't put you on any medicine? That's bizzare(But I'm not a Doctor). You can always find a doctor to take you off the medicine easily but one of these days you will be driving down the road and wish you were on some. Seizures temporarily change the liver function and levels after each seizure. Medicines possibily given to stop the seizure or relex you afterwards can cause the changes
