back for a bit....this maybe a strange thread, but i'm curious. I have been doing some research and came across information that epilepsy and spinal deformaties may have some sort of connection?
has anyone else heard of this?
I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine)...anyone else?

Hmmmm, interesting question. I was diagnosed with epilepsy as a preteen and when I was 16 or 17 I was taken off dilantin because EEG was normal. I also had scoliosis in my neck. I was told I should be very carefull not to get hurt as the curve could cause problems.
In 1994 I had a cervical fusion of C5-6. In 2001 the new MRI showed that C6-7 had a bulge and arthritis across from that area. I started having strange feelings in my head followed by confusion, loss of balance and strange gait, about four or five years ago. They steadily got worse, a year ago I was diagnosed with Complex Partial Epilepsy that have not been controlled by meds.
I certainly am interested in what you find out. Where have you been researching this?
I am not sure about this exact question, but epilepsy can be hereidatry, and if your Mom has it, and was on meds to control it while she was pregnant with you, that can cause deformities.
