I have just been diagnosed with epilepsy or with seizures from a car accident that happened to me in January. These seizures cause me to get scared and not knowing what to do. I am afraid to leave the house because I might have one. I am taking Depakote er 500mgm, which seems to help some but my neurologist just added Klonopin today. What is the Klonopin for if I am taking the Depakote. Please help me. Thank you for your time.

Hi! I replied to your other post a while ago and well I am on 2 meds as well I have been controlled most of my life. Both meds are doing good for me. You might be on 2 meds because some are not strong enough and the other might control part of your seizure like me. I am on Tegretol 400 and when I started getting more episodes my doc put me on Frizium and it did the trick so it's not a bad thing that you are on 2 meds! Take care! let me know any updates!

Hi Sunny,

My grandma said if you feel like the world is crumbling in you better buy a shovel. I maybe wrong but you have alot on your plate right now. If you feel like you can't leave the house you need to see someone and talk it out. You need to find out all you can about E and your in the right place for that. I hope you stop driving until your sz free for a while. You are going to be fine - God doesn't put more on us then we can handle. Ask your neuro dr for a good therapist to help you get pass the rough spot.
