GRRRR Doctors!!! - Epilepsy Message Board

As I posted before I had an EEG done on my four year old daughter last Friday to see about seizures. I was told the results would be faxed to her doc by Wednesday. I call Thursday was told someone would get back with me... I called three times, no response. Called Friday to complain and get results, talked to a nurse and was told they would call back. Well they did twice. Once because they called the wrong hospital and once because they couldn't spell her last name right (very common name) and it is in her charts. I was told they would call back with results. NOW I have to wait till Monday for any answers. In the meantime I am still sick with worry and have no idea what she is going through.
Has anyone else been through this type of treatment with their doctors, PCP, if so how did you handle it? The stress of not knowing is HORRIBLE when it is your baby!!

It is so frustrating to be promised the result sand have to wait.....

I am also waiting 2 weeks for results on my DD's EEG last week. it is hard. More so when you have to call so many times and they seem NOT to know what the hospital or child's name is!!

Hang in there. Waiting is hard. A friend of mine calls it hurry up and wait disease, we HURRY up to all these tests then we have to WAIT for answers from them....

I have used alternative treatments in favour of orthodox medicine for over 30 years now....with dramatic results. I have helped family and friends and seen massive changes in their health.

On one occasion I did research for a friend of mine who had grand mal epileptic fits every day and was on the strongest medication available.....she accepted the results of my research and the fits stopped immediately....all was well for 3 weeks till the next appointment with her doctor came up, and he was furious....... even though she had enjoyed 3 weeks free from fits....when she told him what she had been doing. He threatened to strike her off his books if she continued with this nonsense, so she went back to the medication and having the fits!!

Because of the results I got from her I recommended my research results and made visits to other sufferers....children in particular ..... and finally was invited to the Clinic to give a talk....doctors there listened, but were not convinced that it was wise to move away from orthodoxy!!!

Epilepsy is a lack of magnesium. The solution is simple....try it!!

Take half a teaspoonful of EPSOM SALTS in fruit juice every morning

It works.
It does you no harm.

I am definitely going to do that with her... that is actually very interesting. Even if the results come in ok I think I will try it.

I would check with the neuro before giving this to your child. TOO much magnesium can be a problem as well as too little.

Glad it worked for you, though....
