This works for epileptics!

I have used alternative treatments in favour of orthodox medicine for over 30 years now....with dramatic results. I have helped family and friends and seen massive changes in their health.

On one occasion I did research for a friend of mine who had grand mal epileptic fits every day and was on the strongest medication available.....she accepted the results of my research and the fits stopped immediately....all was well for 3 weeks till the next appointment with her doctor came up, and he was furious....... even though she had enjoyed 3 weeks free from fits....when she told him what she had been doing. He threatened to strike her off his books if she continued with this nonsense, so she went back to the medication and having the fits!!

Because of the results I got from her I recommended my research results and made visits to other sufferers....children in particular ..... and finally was invited to the Clinic to give a talk....doctors there listened, but were not convinced that it was wise to move away from orthodoxy!!!

Epilepsy is a lack of magnesium. The solution is simple....try it!!

Take half a teaspoonful of EPSOM SALTS in fruit juice every morning

It works.
It does you no harm.

All the best.

Re: This works for epileptics!

There are several nutrients I have heard have value in decreasing seizures. Mg is one of them. No one should think that nutritional supplements are a cure all for everyone. They could be harmed if they stop their meds and go natural completely since Status could develop. I started taking Magnesium, Zinc, Flax Seed Oil tablets, a MTV and eating peanuts when I read that others were trying it. I think Magnesium is probably a neurotransmitter in that it helps the charges carryihng the message from cell to cell do so. There are others that do that as well such as Sodium and Calcium. Mg did not stop my seizures, and I wouldn't expect it to. Based on how it works, I would be afraid that it would cause the cells to become irritated possibly to the point of triggering a seizure. As we all know. too much meds can cause seizures too. How much Mg is too much? It really would be necessary to know the cause of the seizures to say for sure that taking Mg will stop them so that no meds are needed. That is dangerous otherwise. Since many cases of epilesy is caused by structural damage to the cells so that they misfire rather than fire as they should, the cause in these cases is not caused by a deficit of a nutrient. I do not at all disagree that some nutrients can have great value in this area. Caution should be taken however with the amount and making sure AEDs are continued. I eat the peanuts for the B-12 as well as the natural progesterone which raises seizure threshold. Phoebe

Re: This works for epileptics!

I forgot to add that when I had that very high fever as an infant that causd me to convulse, it left it's mark in the form a scar just as any burn does on your skin. That is the group of cells that started misfiring as they healed and continued to do so which caused seizures when that misfiring involved enough cells. Magnesium had nothing to do with that cause and nothing to do with stopping them. It can do what all nutrients can which is to make the environment the best possible for cells to funtion and do their best work. I also need to tell you that my grandmother believed in Epsom Salts too except she used it for another reason! It will clean you out so that your insides are squeaky clean. It also causes severe cramoing! Have you tried this yourself? You mentioned your research. You didn't mention what type of seizures you yourself have, however. What kind do you have, and how long did yo take the Epsom Salts before you saw results? You need to provide these answers to make yourself even look credible. With the severe diarrhea Epsom Salts can cause, you lose lots of electrolyrtes and fluid. The Magnesium you are prescribing almost is one of those el;ectrolytes and they all have major functions in the body. Some of these involve heart function. Are you prepared to be responsible for the results if people believe your rather positive statements here and are caused harm? Please respond. When you go in the hospital for surgery or tests involving the Gastro-Intestinal tract, they make you drink Mag Citrate which does the same as the Epsom Salts. You are squeaky clean inside. You also are minus loads of electrolytes and fluids. That is done in a hospital for the most part, not daily at home. My grandmother didn't know this. Today, we do. Phoebe

Re: This works for epileptics!

Hi Phoebe,

Thanks for making these statements. I see there is no response. I know personally how easy it would be to give in to every *here try this and everything is better* mentality! But I can't take that risk with my child!

We give Jake baths in Epsom Salts. The skin is the largest organ of the body. It's wonderful for soothing muscle cramps following big seizures and it helps him sleep better... and yes we always have a few more then normal bms the next day!

Thanks for standing up for the board and others!

Love and light,

Lisa
