Good Luck Ethan...the brain does not feel pain, but the thought is an odd one that you will be awake and open.
Take good care of yourself this weekend. Eat properly, get good sleep and make sure you drink enough liquids to keep your veins open and blood flow going strong. Katie was through 2 brain surgeries, so we had to prep twice for them. Keep up on your meds, following whatever plan the doc or nurse instructed for you.
Katie took extra vita C and iron weeks before both. To enrich the blood and keep her healthy. One surgery was in April, the other June.
Relax this weekend, include some prayer and talk to family and close friends. It will lift your spirits...and please remember the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
All my best, and come back here as soon as you can! We'll be waiting for you!
Vicki
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3, 5-6
