Living with both Epilepsy & Ataxia

Hi once again

I just wondered – Does anybody have Epilepsy “ & “ have Ataxia ?

If so I would be very interested to know how you go about treating it & how you are affected from day to day .

I can only take so much medication as if I take a little to much I get Naseaus & very dizzy .

I am also looking for other possibilities of treating both my epilepsy & Ataxia at the same time .

Thanks Bahamas

Re: Living with both Epilepsy & Ataxia

ataxia= lousy balance..... I understand that one completely. Some days, I can get around pretty well, but other times, my balance stinks. I think it's from all of the meds I take for various disorders, but if I don't take them , my balance is worse. It's frustrating, and can be embarrassing to look intoxicated when it's purely neurological, or due to the meds. If I'm out, I generally get a shopping cart to hang on to, just for support. At home, I just have to hope for the best...have had some nasty bruises as a result. Ask your doc if there's any other med you can try, or if he/she thinks something else is going on....
