Re: Arm and shoulder pain after seizure???

You may have strained a muscle (pulled?). I'm guessing it was a TC for type of seizure.

I've had bumps and bruises; but never injured a muscle to that extent. Suprised I didn't do that when I tried pulling the sink out of the wall and toilet off the floor the one time (I was told I exhibited increased strength in that seizure).

Take it easy if you can for a few days and allow those muscles time to recover; so no heavy lifting, stretching, or odd positions in reaching that may worsen your pains.

If I were in your shoes I'd use a naturalpathic remedy I frequently take when working concerts or helping with construction... But since some time has lapsed, Let it recover is my advice, for pain, use the over the counter that works best for you IF or WHEN needed, or heat pads on the muscles is a better idea to try first.

Re: Arm and shoulder pain after seizure???

I've had CPS, with some mild motor stuff during the day, and always just feel sore and 'hit by a truck'....I have night ones, where I wake up hurting more (also have fibromyalgia, so who knows what causes what). If I can sleep as long as I need to (sometimes 8 hours, usually more like 2-4), I do better. But I generally feel sore to some extent.

Re: Arm and shoulder pain after seizure???

Hope you're feeling better. I have alot of stiffness after my seizures. I'm told I get really stiff , this can cause muscle soreness. Also if you move around alot (done that to) that can cause muscle soreness. I haven't found an over the counter pain pill that cures it. I have found that hot showers, ibuprofen, and a good muscel rub helps alot. Good Luck!

Re: Arm and shoulder pain after seizure???

Have you been checked for rotator cuff problems? It would be a little unusual for both sides at the same time, but not unheard of. Also, arthritis- the weather across the country has flip flopped so much, it's nuts....and my arthritis is killing me during the season changes.

6-8 months! Yowzers. Do you need to have it in an athletic wrap or some type of support that time as well?

I can't imagine an injury taking that long to heal. I've been lucky. Never had a broken bone; only minor sprains (ankle was one memorable).
