Hello..and A Complex Partial - Epilepsy Message Board

Hey Everyone!

I'm Katrina and I have Complex Partial epilepsy. I used to post on here but I've been taking many long breaks.

I've had more nocturnal seizures (around 7 a month) than I've had "awake" seizures. I treat my epilepsy with vitamins and so far, so good!

I've had a bad cold so I've been sleeping pretty funky lately. I had a nocturnal seizure on Tuesday, I woke up groggy and I had trouble thinking straight.

Our washer broke and MIL has dementia so she couldn't help my husband. My FIL has alcoholic dementia so he's just never really on the ball lol. I had to help my hubby move the washer with a 100F fever while my FIL just sat there eating.

I have anger problems after complex partial seizures, I have a tendancy to get super mood swings.

I just lost it and starting yelling to my hubby/mil "that bleeping bleep is sitting there while I have the flu and I'm having to help you bleep bleeeeeep bleep" I just totally blew up.

Normally I don't mind FIL being lazy but after my seizure I just went apecrap to quote my sister lol.

Anyone have anger problems after complex partial seizures? Temper issues?

I can use any help I can get

Hi- another CPS here, with more nocturnal seizures than daytime ones (I guess, I live alone, and the dog doesn't say much). When I was working (now on disability) my boss would say I got "fiesty" (think that was a nice term for 'rude and bitchy'). And it was after seizures- normally, I'm not that horrible!! (again, dog doesn't complain !)

Hi! Thanks for responding to my post!

I've had more nocturnal seizures during the night for about a year now. On one hand it's nice because I don't feel the pain, but then I wake up totally fried lol! I sometimes go back to bed just two hours after waking up because I'm so tired.

Same here lol, I'm normally pretty calm but after a complex partial, hell hath no fury like Katrina the Epileptic lol!

FIL took my yelling at him personally but MIL is used to my outbursts lol. Hubby has to do more damage control since it's "not me" during the outbursts.

I feel fortunate to live alone. I know what to do when the auras hit, and if I happen to have any embarrassing bladder situations happen, I'm the only one who knows when I wake up. Normally, if I feel the auras, I'll just get in bed (always padded with a large reusable pad), and take a prn Klonopin if I've got time. If I'm awake and watching TV, I usually just put my legs up on the coffee table so I don't slide out of the chair (it's usally just mouth and chewing stuff anyway, with some soreness of my left arm sometimes- witnesses have said I twitch my left arm).
