does Trileptal work ? - Epilepsy Message Board

please help my mother is having seizures. how well does Trileptal work for seizures?And does it have any bad side effects? any advice or help would be gladly taken.

well my mother is the one taking Trileptal and it does not work nothing works this is driving me and her and everyone crazy not know what is causing these seizures.I have wrote before about my mothers seizure.she has only been having them for about 7 months or so.And last night after going up on the dose of Trileptal she had one and didnt even see it coming. This morning she tells me she woke up in the floor and has that taste she gets in her mouth after a seizure. The thing with doctors are you get an appt and then have to wait to have test done. Monday she is going to Durham to see a different nero.But i bet he'll talk to her and then say we well make you another appt. for test and then waiting and wondering when she is going to fall out again begains.Does anything woke for seizure and if so what? Its getting to the point i think nothing works.Please some help and advice!!!

I keep posting and no one well reply. Has anyone every been thoough this? About an hour or so ago my mother fell out again down the back steps and has a large bump on the back of her head. We dont knopw how long she was laying there. she has gone to the ER now. This is so scary. I have posted her before after Easter because my mother fell down the front steps at my garandparents on Easter and had 7 seizures. Please help any advice or anyone that has been thought this that is better now please reply. I need some good news about the cure for seizures. I and my family live in fear everyday that something like what happened well happen and be worse. I know there is alot of people going thought things like this and even harder issues. But for me this is all new.
