i have looked up the symptoms and i think my partner has complex partial seizures...just one problem

..because he cant remember he does'nt believe me.it happens in his sleep and it wakes me up last night it lasted for about 20 mins it is really scary...

It could be seiz. I would do my best to convince him to get a physical from his doctor. You should go with and tell the dr. exactly what has happened. Everything from does it happen at a certain time, has he acted the same every time, how long symptoms lasted, etc. Write things down to help you remember and possibly establish a pattern if there is one. He can decide then if further tests are needed or if your partner needs to see a nerologist.

Hello kirstie,

I was told during testing for surgery that quite often siezures at night happen during REM sleep(Rapid Ey Movement). A seizure lasting 20 minutes is nothing to fool around with, if you think it's a seizure, try to get him to get checked with an EEG from a neurologist. it may br nothing but unrestful sleep. I'm not a doctor but I have had long seizures and they are dangerous. Good luck to both of you guys. Jeff
