This is my first time posting, I'm so glad I found these boards
I think that I may have had a seizure three days ago, this is the first time anything like this has happened, so I'm not even sure what is was or what I should do. I hope someone on here can help me
I've done a little research on the different types of seizures, and from what I've read about other people's experience, there was usually a history of conditions, etc. I'll try to describe what I experienced. First, some background: I have had no major medical problems except clinical depression, which was diagnosed and treated 2 yrs ago. In the last week I have been in the process of relocating to a new city, and new job. On the evening that the "spell" happened I had just gotten home after driving around on an extrememly hot day in a car with no a/c! Even though I had cooled down, I still felt "melted". I was talking on the phone with my mom when I felt a zap feeling on the top left side of my head, then I started jerking around on my upper body, arms, then legs, I dropped the phone and fell to the ground, I don't think I became unconcious, if so only for a few seconds, but I lost track of time b/c I remembered talking to my mom on the phone, but I couldn't remember how long ago it was or if I had already hung up! until I looked a saw the phone dangling off the hook. I was able to get up and resume the conversation, and I have had no other episodes since, just a slight headache in the top left area where i got "zapped". Could it have been the stress or overheating? Should I call a nerologist, or is there a cheaper blood test I can have done? I don't have insurance at this point, so anything would be out of pocket. Thank you for any advice or insight!
