Foods/Spices to Avoid: Might Cause Seizures

Hi All

I am new to this website and to posting and all so bear with me. We just celebrated Thanksgiving in Canada. As most of you know we all eat turkey et all and enjoy a good holiday.

For many years I have avoided the stuffing part of the meal because someone told me that sage and rosemary triggered seizures. Is this true? For that matter, has anybody read anything medically proven or just through their own experiences that triggers seizures in them?

For awhile I even avoided the turkey itself because I had a seizure one Christmas after dinner. Just recently, decided to give it another chance to see if the seizure was real trigger or a one time wonder.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

I have never heard anything about sage or rosemary triggering seiz., but I think a lot of MSG (monosodium glutamate)does for me. I think an excess of caffiene does to sometimes. Do you know if the stuffing is made with anything that has MSG in it? Just a thought. Something interesting to look into somemore as I use lots of herbs and spices.

Interesting. I've never heard or been advised to avoid particular foods but a lot of the drugs can affect liver/kidney function and it could be that the level of absorption could change if you have less fluid in you? I love my herbs and spices and drinking loads of water seems to help.
