Post My father having unknown "spells"

I am writing this for help for my father.

For about 15 years my father has been having what we have called "spells". At first he would just become incoherent and become someone else. He had two different types, one was a gentle person who would do anything you told him to do. Almost like a child. The other one was ver violent, didn't do anything you told him. He would just walk and walk. This is how they started. Then about 5-6 years ago, he started to go into this unconcious state. He would kind of go to sleep, then his feet would start moving like he was walking then running. He would tighten up and then become very loose. He would wake up, supposedly, and either be attracted to the light and want to stare into it or touch it. We had to blow our our pilots lights on our range top before. He is sometime attracted to sounds. He just had one today and my brother and nephews were upstairs playing and he was sound asleep. He heard them and tried to get up and go to the noise. When he does finally come out of these "spells" he does not remember anything about what just happened. My family and I have been so use to it that all we do is try to hold him back and keep him out of danger. We lock our doors because he will try to get out. This is dangerous for him because he will sometimes just pass out no matter were he is. We have gone to see many doctors about this and only one has said that it is a type of epilepsy. Nothing was done to treat him though. That last time we went to see a doctor was about a year and a half ago. They stopped after he was diagnosed with epilepsy. They just started back up again back in November. I would really appreciate any feed back anyone can give. Thank you and god bless.

Question

I also in the beginning had strange things happen to me too. I can't explain why but things are getting alot better and they sound similar to what happened to your father. Once I ran towards my boyfriend's house and I was taking a bath and I was naked (I didn't even relize it)I think the feeling just is so very frighting and you (the person having the seizure)needs to be next to someone that they care and love and just know that someone is their for them. Things are getting better with Kepra and they are only happening around that time of the month. For me that is a real big change. I wish your father alot of luck !ARH
